Improved Code of Signals at Mount Victoria.
"The following announcement appears in the Government Gazette of yesterday. The new code of signals to be brought into use on the Ist of November, will manifestly render much more complete the communication of various particulars of interesting intelligence respecting the vessels approaching our port. It would .greatly add however, to their usefulness and to the convenience of the inhabitants, if an arrangement were made (as could with little difficulty be done) for repeating the signals at the town. The descriptions are so plain as to need no verbal explanation. The numbers, it will be seen end at o,— -thus 10 will be signalled by the flag for 1 and that for 0, and so on through the numbers.
