PUBLICJMEETING. A S the Legislative Council have separated •^* without passing Measures calculated to relieve the Colony from its present difficulties, a PUBLIC MEETING will be heald at the Mechanics' Institute on Thursday Evening next, the 6th proximo, at Seven o'clock, to consider what steps should now be taken on the part of the Community to meet the present emergency.
