Reduced Prices ! BRITISH & FOREIGN WAREHOUSE.
JPHE Proprietor having recently made 1_ various extensive additions to his former Stock of useful and fashionable DRAPERY GOODS is now enabled, through the facilities afforded by a declining market, to announce to his Customers and the public the adoption of a comprehensive system of reduced prices in the retail department of his establishment. The circumstance of the entire stock now on sale at the British & Foreign Warehouse having been purchased within the last six months will be a sufficient explanation why articles so excellent in quality, and in. other respect so superior to goods of less modern style, can be offered as above intimated, at rates hitherto unprecedented in the trade of this settlement. There is no design in this instance to mislead the public under favour of a specious plea, as " Selling off," or other such like trite expedient, the advertiser being desirous simply to acquaint his customers, that for the reasons just reverted to, an important reduction on former rate of charges (amounting in some instances to 60 per cent, as compared with goods pui chased 12 or 18 months ago) has taken place from this date at his establishment. Shortland-street, August 18, 1849.
