A barque was signalled yeiteiday evening but •he had disappeared before sunset. It is supposed to have been the Jo»ephinc from Newcastle with coali for Kawau, and that ihe put i& there last night. The Falcon arrived yesterday evening from Port Nicholson the 12th instant. Earthquakes were still occurring occaiionaly at Wellington, and on the Bth instant a rather smart shock to ;k place, which was felt on board the Falcon in the harbour. The ship Ajix, and H. M. Steamer Acherou were in port, and a full rigged ship was entering as the Falcm left. Mr. Campbell, one of the passengers by the Falcon, repoits the lo« of a schooner in the neighl ourhood of the East Cape. A quantity of pork, the schooner's hatches and a topsail were washed on shore near his premiss. The brig Patriot has been wrecked at Waikokapu, Hawke's Bay, in a heavy southwest gale, in the early part oi this month.
