A JONES having taken the premises lately • occupied by Messrs. Connell & Ridings, Queen -street, begs to apprize his Friends and the Public generally that he will open the same on Wednesday next, 25th instant, with a New, Extensive, and Well Assorted Stock of Linen Drapery, Silk Mercery, Hosiery, Haberdashery, &c, received direct from London vi& Sydney, and selected with great care, therefore, hoping to obtain a large share of public paronage. He is determined to sell at the lowest cash prices. The Articles being too numerous to detail a few only ate subjoined — Silks Satins and Sattinetes Cashmere and De Lame Dresses Silks and Satin Visites Satin and Embroidered Cashmere Shawls Orleans, Coburgs, and British Merinoes French Muslin Collars and Habit Shirts Gala Plaids, Fancy Handkerchiefs Bonnets and Bonnet Ribbons Plain De Lamas and Silk Braids to match Scotch Ginghams Long Cloths, Calicoes Damask Linens, &c. Gents' French Cashmere Cravats, of the finest texture, patronized by the nobility of England. " Military Buck Braces " « " Gloves " Superior White and coloured Shirts " Silk and Satin Handkerchiefs " Stocks and Opera Ties " a few Very Superior Frock Coats French Kid Gloves Hose and half-hose of every description #c, &c, &c. SH. LEVEY while returning his thanlcs . to the inhabitants and visitants of Auckland for the generous patronage they have favoured him with, begs respectfully to intimate that the whole of the numerous and expensive alterations being now completed, he can with confidence assert that there is no Hotel in Auckland to be put into competition with tha " Victoria" for real comforts and accommodations, amongst which will be found — Well aired Beds, and the Bedrooms replete with every comfort for the toilette. S. H. L. would also intimate that in due course of his arrangements for the importation of Wines, Spirits, and other requisites for his business, he has received per late arrivals, a choice lot of — And other Wines j brand 3 Maitell's and Henessey's Brandies B. P. Rum A carefully selected lot of eh Coeicordials. And also — Hind and Smith's celebrated Amber Ale — the quality of the whole of which articles are first-rate. The New Stables are warranted thoroughly drained, and paved throughout, and are amply sufficient to accommodate Forty Horses. The Stable being placed under the charge o* an Ostler of many year's experience in the bes^ stables in Van Diemen's Land, and the Hay> Corn, &c, &c, being of first quality, Gentlemen may depend upon their horses being properly attended to. Six or Seven Good Hacks, to let on hire. For the further accommodation of impoiters and owners of Horse stock there are sleeping rooms adjacent to the stables for their servants and stockmen. In conclusion, S. H. L. pledges himself to rigorously observe the msae diligent care and attention to the convenience and comfort of his visitors which has' hitherto secured him so large an amount of public patronage. N. B.— -A Table D'Hote every day at Two o'clock. Soups during the Winter season always ready at Eleven o'clock.
