AT a Meeting of several of the Land Claimants, held at the Exchange Hotel, on the Bth day of May, 1849, W. Hart, Esq., in the Chair, It was Resolved, That the chairman be requested to invite the attendance of all Land Claimants in this district, and the public generally, to a Meeting to be held at the Exchange Hotel, on the 22nd day of May, instant, at 1 o'clock in the forenoon, for the purpose of taking into consideration the propriety of appointing some qualified person or persons to proceed to London, accompanied by at least two native chiefs, in order that a full and fair representation of the giievances under which this colony labours in general, and of the nature of these claims in particular, may be made to Her Majesty, and both Houses of Parliament. In pursuance of the above resolution, I invite the public to attend such meeting. W. Hart, Chaiiman. May 8, 1849.
