Now this surprising cure was effected in about ten days. (Signed) J. K. Heydon,
Case of Coiisitmptinn. Melbourne, November 8, 1848 Dear Sir— l have been since June, 184:7, more or less diseased*! with consumption, and never again ex pected to rise from my bed. 1 have bad tbree doctors sometimes attending me, and never found any relief. 1 was at last recommended by my friend Mr. Macnamara, (the councillor for Gipps Ward here) to try Holoway'i Pills and Ointment, which 1 have used since last August, and am now almost well, and hope to be entirely so in another week. I think it fit to lay tins before the public* as the cnsumption is a very serious disease; and therefore I recommend every person afflicted with the above disease to try your pills once, and they will use them always. I arc Sir, yours truly, EDWARD BUCKLEY, Auctioneer, Melbourne. J. K. Heydon, Esq , Sydney.
Cure of Thirty five Ulcers. " Moloug, Sept. 25, 1848. " To Mr. J. K. Heydon. ♦• Sir, — I owe a debt of gratitude to Profeisor Holloway for my almost miraculous cure, after seven years of suffering* caused fay exposure to wet and cold, and the undue use of Mercurial Medicines. When I first commenced to U9e the Pills and Ointment, I had thirty-five ulcers on my body, and a constant head ache, and pains all over me. My throat had got so affected that I was obliged at last to live entirely on gruel. Having spent upwards of two hurdred pounds in mediciue and medical advice to no puipose, except that of making me worse, I tried Holloway's Pills and Ointment, by means of which, and the blcsiug of God, lam now in the enjoyment of excellent heal h. My feelings for others similarly circumstanced, as well as my gratitude to Mr. Holloway, compel me to send you this communication. " I am, Sir, " Your obedient servant, " Jeremiah Reed. "P.S.— I am at present in tlie employment of Messm. Sjc'rs, Brothers, Meadows, ne<*r Wellington* Surprising Cure of Rheumatism . " Little Bally Bong. Port PbillipF ( .a\ >4 January 10. 1848. " I hereby certify, that my wife, Lydia Rochford, was affected with Rheumatism in the head for fifteen months, and although attended by good medical practitioners, she got no relief. It also affected the palate of her month, so much so that the could not articulate her words properly. I was advised to try Holloway's Pills and Ointment, which I did administer to her, and she continued to use them for two months. I can now say they have restoied her to her usual state of good health ; and for the sake of humanity I now make this public. (Signed) " James llochtobd."
Cures in South Australia The following extraordinary Cures are authenticated by Mr: John Stephens, of Adelaide, the respectable proprietor of the " Adelaide Obseiver and South Australian Register," and have been published in his papers :— "GeorgejMuncton, a settler in the bush, who had [ been suffering for four months with a swollen leg, and in such pain as to deprive him of sleep, was recommended to try Holloway'i Pills, at the same time using the ointment, as directed. In the course of a fortnight the cure was so far effected as to permit him. on the 7th Octob. r, to walk into Adelaide without pain, a distance of twenty miles, to give us this statement for the information and benefit of his fellovvcreature*. " November 2nd, 1847."
" Mrs. Elizabeth Barker, of Willunga, who had been nearly thirty years a iufferer, from an ulcerated leg, produced by a blow, was induced to try Hollo way's ointment in conjunction with his pills. A small box of each was purchased, and before the whole was used the leg wai perfectly healed, tearing icnrcely any trace of a wound, which had defied the skill of several practitioners both in England and this country.
Another Surprising Cure ! "CampbeMown, April 11, 1848. " To Mr. Heydon. " Sir, — I feel it a duty incumbent on me, to let the community at large know the wonderful cure that has been performed on me by the effect of Holioway't medicine. I have, for the last six months, been afflicted with the liver complaint, end at last was compelled to take to my bed in a very low state, so bad that I did not think I would ever rise in health again. After trying medical aid, and finding no relief, I was advised by Mr. William Bimill to try the medicine aforenamed, which T did, and after one or two dooes of Holloway's Fills, and rubbing in the ointment, I found great relef; and by strictly following tbe rules laid down by Mr. Holloway, and using his pills and ointment for six weeks, I find myself in the enjoyment of as good health as ever I posiessed in my life. The truth of this statement is incontestable, as there is not one of my neighbours but could testify the same. " I remain, &c, " Robert Elkins, «• Blacksmith, " Campbelltown."
This wonderful Medicine can be recommended with the greatrst confidence for any of the following Di&chgei :—
