A winner at tbis meeting to carry slbs. extra. Second Day. THE METROPOLITAN PLATE. Twice round the Course — three years old Bst. 71bs. four, 9st. 21bs. five, 9st. lOlbs. six and aged, 1 Ost. 71bs. Entrance one sovereign. If more than four horses start, the owner of the second horse to receive back his stake. A winner at this meeting to carry 3 lbs extra. PONEY RACE. Heats once round the Course, for horses fourteen hands and under, catch- weights — Entrance 10s. 6d. GARRISON PLATE. Heats once round the course — open to all horses ridden by Gentlemen. Three years old lOst. 91bs. four, list, five, list. 61bs. six, and aged, list. lOlbs. Entrance two sovereigns. If more than four horses start, the owner of the second horse to receive back his stake. I HACK RACE. Twice round the Course — Catch Weights. CART HORSE RACE. Once round and a distance — open to all Horses the bona fide property of the carters of the district — Catch, Weights. BEATEN PLATE. Handicap, to be settled by the Stewards, or whom they may depute. The amount of the prize to be given for each Race will be declared^ in a subsequent advertisement. RULES. No horse to be entered for any stake, except the Native Race, which is not bona fide the property of a subscriber to the race fund of one guinea. Entrances to be made wilh the Clerk of the Course, at tbe Exchange Hotel, on or before Monday, the 22nd inst. The Colors of the Riders to be declared at the time of Entrance , and oot altered under a Hue of 10s. 6d,,— to be added to the race fund* All stakesi subscriptions, and fine* to be made good before starling, or the horse whose ovruer or name shall make default, will not be entitled to win. All Matches to be declared to the Clerk of the Course on the Entrance Day, that they may be inverted in the Lists, unless made after that period, when they will come off on the 31s 1 .. The owner of eath horse entered for a Match to, pay 10s. 6d. to the Race Fund. All disputes to be referred to the Stewards whose decisions will be final.
