HOLLOWAY'S PILLS AND OINTMENT.

THE GREATEST CURES OP ANY MEDICINE IN THE GLOBE.

Ca c f Consumption. Melbourne, November 8, 1848. Dear Sir— l have been since June, 1847, more or less diseased'with consumption, and never again expected to rise from my bed. 1 have had three doctors sometimes attending me, and never found any relief. J was at last recommended by my friend Mr. Macnamara, (the councillor for Gipps Ward here) to try 'Hoi oway's Pills and Ointment, which I have used since last August, and am now almost well, and hope to be entirely so in another week. I think it fit to day this before the public, as the «nsumption is a -very serious disease; and therefore I recommend every person afflicted with the above disease to try your pills once, and they will use them always. lam Sir, yours truly, EDWARD BUCKLEY, : Auctioneer, Melbourne. J. K. Heydon, Esq., Sydney.

Cure of Thirty fiv» Ulcers. " Moloug, Sept. 25, 1848. " To Mr. J. K. Heydon. '• Sir,— l owe a debt of gratitude to Professor Holloway for my almost miraculous cure, after seven years of suffering, caused by exposure to wet and cold, ' nnd the undue use of Mercurial Medicines. When I first commenced to use the 'Pills and Ointment, I had thirty-five ulcers on my body, and a constant head ache, and pains all o*er me. My throat had got so affected that I was obliged at last to live entirely on gruel. Having spent upwards of two hurdred pounds in mediciue and medical advice to no puipoie, except that of making me worse, I tried Holloway's Pills and Ointment, by means of which, and the b^ sing of God, lam novr in the enjoyment of excellent healih. My feelings for others similarly circumstanced, as well as my gratitude to Mr. Holloway, compel me to send you this communication. " I am, Sir, ••Your obedient servant, •' Jeremiah Reed. •'P.S.— I am at present in the employment of Messrs. Syers, Brothers, Meadows, near Wellington'

Surpiising Cure of Rheumatism. " Little Bally Bong, Port Phillipßoad, "January 16. 1848. " I hereby certify, that my wife, Lydia Rochford, was affected with Rheumatism in the head for fifteen months, and although attended by good medical prac. titioners, she got no relief. It also affected thr palate of her mouth, so much so that she could uot articulate her words properly. I was advised to try Holloway's Pills and Ointment, which I did administer to her, and •he continued to use them for two months. I can now say they have restored her to her usual state of good health ; and for the sake of humanity I now make this public. (Signed) " James Rochford."

Cures in South Australia The following extraordinary Cures are authenticated by Mr: John Stephens, of Adelaide, the respectable proprietor of the " Adelaide Obse-ver and South Austrulian Register," and have been published m his papers :— "GeorgejMuncton, asrttler in the bmh. who had been suffering for four month* with a swollen leg, and in such pain as to deprive him of sleep, was recommended to try Holloway's Pills, at the same time using the ointment, as directed. In the course of a fortnight the cure was so far effected as to permit him. on the 7th October, to walk into Adelaide without pain, a distance of twenty miles, to give us this statement for the information and benefit of his fellow - creatureß. " November 2nd, 1847."

" Mrs. Elizabeth Harker, of Willunga, who had I been nearly thirty years a Bufferer, from an ulcerat d Irq, produced by a blow, was induced to try Holloway's ointment in conjunction with his pills. A small box of each was purchased, and before the whole Was used the leg was perfectly healed, leaving scarcely any trace of a wound, which had defied the skill of several practitioners both in England and this country.

Another Surprising Cure ! " Campbelltown, April 11, 1848. " To Mr. Heydon. " Sir,— l feel it a duty incumbent on me, to let the community at large know the wonderful cure that hat been performed on me by the effect of Holloway'* medicine. I have, for the lait six months, been afflicted with the liver complaint, and at lait Wdg compelled to take to my bed in a very low state, so bad that I did not think I would erer rite in health again. After trying medical aid, and finding no relief, I wai advised by Mr. William Bunill to try the medicine aforenamed, which T did, and after one or two dooes of Holloway's Pills, and rubbing in the ointment, I found great relief; and by strictly following the rules laid down by Mr. Hollowsy, and using bis pills and ointment for six weeks, I find myself in the enjoyment of as good health as ever I possessed in my life. The truth of this statement is incontestable, as there is not one of my neighbours but could testify the same. " I remain, «fee., " Robert Elkinsi " Blacksmith, " Campbelltoirn."
