Governor 'in- Chief in and over the Islands of New Zealand, and Governor of the Province of New Ulster, and New Minister, and Vice Admiral of the same, &t\, iSrc, %c. WHEREAS the undermentioned Ordinance, enacted by the Lieutenanl-Go-vcinor of New Zealand, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council theieof, was passed in the eleventh year of the leigu of Her Majesty Queen Victoria \k: — No. 10. "An Oidinance for piomoting the Education of Youth in the colony of New Zealand." (October 9th, 1847.) Which Ordinance having been by the Right llonoiablu Earl Grey one of Her Majesty's principal Sen claries of Slate, laid befoie the Queen, Her Majesty has been giaciously pleased to confirm and allow the same. Now thciefoie I, the Govcmor-in -Chief of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and make known to all whom it may concern, that Her Majesty has been pleased to confiim and allow the before mentioned Oidinance. Given undci my hand, and issued under the Public .Seal of the Islands of Now Zealand, at (L. ?.) WHEREAS the under mentioned Ordinance, enacted by the Lieutenant-Go-veinor of New Zealand with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof, wai passed in the eleventh year of the reign of Her Majesty, Queen Victoria, viz : " An Oidinance for indemnifying the Officers of Her Majesty's Forces and others, for all acts done by them under ceitain Proclamations of Maitial Law." (Oct. 1-lth, 1848.) Which Ordinance having been by the Right Honorable Earl Gicy, one of Her Majesty's principal Secretaries of State, laid before the Queen, Her Majesty has been graciously pleased to confirm and allow the same. Now therefore I, the Governor-in-Chief of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and make known to all whom it may concern, that Her Majesty has been pleased to confirm and allow the before mentioned Oidinance. Given under my hand, and issued under the Public Seal of the Islands of New Zealand, at Government house, at Auck(L.S.) land, in the Piovince of New Ulster, this Ninth day of November, in the Year of Our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and forty eight.
