Colonial Fecretartjs Office, Auckland, October 13, 1848. HIS Excellency the Governor-in-Chief has been pleased to direct the publication of the following Warrant under the Royal Sign Manual and Signet. By His Excellency's command, Andrew Sinclair, Colonial Secretary.

To Our Trusty andWell-beloved George Gret, Esquire, Our Governor-in-Chief in and over Our Islands of New Zealand, Our Governor and Oommander-in-Chief in and over Our Province ofNewUlstet, and Our Governor and Com - wander-in-Chief in and over Our Province of New Munster in our said Islands, Greeting. With this you will receive a Seal prepared by Our Order for the use of the general Government of Our Islands of New Zealand, and Seals prepared by Our Order for the use of the two ' Provinces of New Ulster and New Munster, m Our said Islands. Our Will and Pleasure is, and We do hereby authorize and direct that the Seals be used in Sealing all Public Instruments, which shall be made and passed in Our Name and for Our Service in Our Said Islands of New Zealand, and the said Provinces of New Ulster, and New Munster in the said Islands
respectively. And so We bid you faiewell. Given at Our Court, at Buckingham Palace, this second day of March, 1 848, in the eleventh year of our Reign. By Her Majesty's command, Grey. Warrant authorizing the use of the Public Seal of the general Government of the Islands of New Zealand, and the Public Seals of the Two Provinces of New Ulster and New Munstci in the said Islands,
