NOTICE is hereby given, that Tenders will be received at this Office, until noon of the 25th September next, from persons willing to undertake the performance of the following Services at the Military Barracks, Auckland, for one year, from the Ist October, 1848, to the 30th September, 1849. viz. — Washing and Repairing Soldiers' and Hospital Bedding, Sweeping Chimnies. Emptying and Removing Soil from Cesspools and Ashpits. Persons whose tenders may be accepted will be required to give reasonable security for the due performance of their engagements. Every particular relative to these services may be obtained by application at the Barrack Office, Fort Brittomart, between the hours of 9 and 3 o'clock,, on any day previous to the 25th proximo ; where also forms of tender can be seen. A FARM situate in the District of Putihua about 1 2 miles from Auckland, and 3ijr from the Pensioners' Village at Otahuhu, containing 439 Acres. The greater part of the land is equal in quality to that at Remuera, it is well watered by several never failing creeks, and contains about 150 acres of valuable building Timber, and being situated in the centre of a rapidly improving district, it possesses almost every advantage that could be desired by a practical man either for grazing or agriculture. This allotment commands a view of the harbour and , flagstaff, and having a warm aspect and being completely sheltered from the south west winds is a very desirable site for a house and garden. The proprietor of the above being about to leave the colony, they will be disposed of on very reasonable terms — intending purchasers will however be pleased to apply before the 20th of September next, as, if not sold previous to that date, they will be withdrawn.
