TURKEY AND GREECE.
We learn by advices from our correspondents of Constan mople, under date of February 7, that the Ottoman Ambassador had met with a more cordial icceptnn at Athens, but the sincerity and durabi'ity of the entente was much doubted. Sarim Pacha, the Miuiiter of Finance, had been appointed President of the Council, in the phce of Rifal Pacha. The finances of the state were announced as being in b most prosperous condition. The Pope's nuncio had b^en entertained and feted with much magnificence, and to hia content. A dreadful lire, which occurred at Keula, in the province of Kutiali, on the 10th of February, consumed the bazaar and the mercan ile part of the town, us well as a depot of grdin. A toice, consisting of 28.936 men (exclusive oi militia), was to be st,i« ijned at Bagdad, Uiider the command of Abdr Pacha.
