Commissariat Office, Auckland, 23id June, 1848. QEALED TENDERS, in duplicate, for the O supply of FIREWOOD, for the service of this depaitment, will be received at this office until noon of Friday next, the 30th instant. The Wood is to be deliveicd in such quantities, and at such times and places, w r ithin the limits of the Town of Auckland, as may be directed by the Senior Commissaiiat Officci, or by any person to be deputed by him. The supply to commence on the Ist August, 1848, and end on the 31st March, 1849. The Contractor w r ill be required to keep a slock on hand of not less than 850 tons measurement, to be slacked m rows of four feet high, and for this purpose a portion of ground in Albert Banacks will be allowed, if required by the Contractoi , and no issues aie to be made except from the quantity so stacked. The Firewood to consist entirely of Tea Tiee or other hard wood, split, and cut into loin feet lengths, and in all other icspects suitable fertile service, and to be subject to the inspection, prior to its delhery, of an officer of this depaitment, whose decision as to quality shall be rina'. The price to be stated in the tendeis at per ton of measurement. The usual bond toi the peiformance of the contract will be requited, and each tender mur.l be signed by the pailies proposed as suietiei,
