Malta, Dec. 1 i. Information was received by Her Majesty's steamer Flamer last night, of an insurrection which had broken out at Patras, and was general throughout Greece. The Governor of Patras had been made prisoner, and the garrison, too weak to resist the numbers of the people, had been obliged tr> seek shelter in the fortresses, where supplies of food could scarcely reach them. In a skirmish with the insurrectionists and the mili» tary, five of the latter lost their lives. No account o( the casualties among the former reached. The Flamer, on reaching Zante, sent the Spitfire steamer to Potras, to render all the assistance in her power to the English resident there. The Locust steamer ha 1 * had her files up to-day, and it is thought will get under way immediately. News from the Fleet has reached Malta. The Hulldog steamer, off Sardinia, has had a narrow ebcupe ot coming in collision with the Rodney, 90. It was blowing fresh, the night durk, and the Rodney, bowling along with a spanking bieeze, nearly ran into the steamer lying-to ; indeed, the water from her bows washed the steamer's deck. The lieutenant of the Bulldog shouted to the Rodney to port her helm, and the thout beini; head and uttended tj the disaster was avoided.
