Fire at St. Thomas.— This island was -visited by n foaiful fire on the 2(>th ult, which destroyed property lo the estimated amount of £12,000 sterling, and would have hid the entire town in ashes, but for a sudden change of the wind, which providentially occurred when the iames were at their highest, and arrested thoir progress. Drinking water was selling at Is. per gallon.
