On Thursday lagt, His Excellency the Governor inChief, and suite, embaikcd on board H.M S. Calliope, under a salute from Uie guns of H. M. S. Dido. In a short time the Dido, Calliope, and Fit/, weic under weigh, and dropped down, with a very light wind, towards the North Head. It was determined on, the day before, thut the Dido and Fly should start in company and run ft short distance, in order to try their respective sailing qualities, hut the wind continuing light all the evening, they only sailed together a few miles outside, •when the Fly parted company, and the Dido returned into port this morning. The Fly lias proceeded to Port Nicholson to relieve the Racehorse, and the Calliope to the Buy of Island* with the Governor.
