GENERAL CONDITIONS. 7th.— Each Tender sent in, in consequence of this Advpitisement, must be accompanied by <i statement signed by tvi o competent Peisons and expressing their leadincss, in the event of sucb Tender being accepted, to become becunty for its due paifoiuiance. The penalty of the Bond to be given will be equal to the estimated amount of tlnee months' supplies. And it is to be understood that the sureties will be held stiictly responsible for the fulfilment of the Contractor's engagements, any failuie in which will be immediately followed by the enforcement of the penalty of Bond. Bth. — The aiticles required for Hospitals must be comprised in one Tender, — and the same Regulation will apply to those required foi Ships of War. The other aiticles may be tendeied. together or separately. 9th. — TlieContiactoi to prepaic his own account according to the presciibed form; and on the production thereof at tins Oilice, with the requisite Voucheis in a complete state, shall receive payment Monthly, by a Bill upon tbo Louis Coininissioneis of Her Majesty's Treasury, at Par, when the amount is Fifty Pounds or upwards: when under that Amount, Payment will be made in Cash. 10th. — In the event of any At tide offered being objected to as not agreeing with these Conditions, it will be submitted to a Board of Ollicers, to be appointed by the Ollicer Commanding the Tioops, and if rejected by the Hoard, it will be replaced by the Commissariat Oflicerand chaiged against the Contractor, in the event of his neglecting to do so wheu requited. lllli. — It shall be in the power of either party lo limit the duration of the Contract by giving it wiiting a notice of three Calendar Months to the opposite party, and to end the Contract an the expiration of that pei iod, it being understood that such notice can be given only fioin the fiist day of a mouth, and within the period foi which the Coutiact is made or agreed to be made. 12lh — Each Tender lo be in Duplicate, sealed, and endorsed " Tender for Bread," " Tender for Rum," &c, as the ca6e may be. 13lh. — No Tender once sent in, is to be withdrawn or altered, and Notice of those accepted will be given within three dajs of the time of opening. And on suUicient evidence being affoided that the sureties are satisfactory, the Bond is to be completed without delay. If any persons who have lendored, refuse to fulfil their oilers upon light or frivolous excuses, they will be considered ineligible as Contractors en any future occasion. The Contractors for the different Articles will be icquiied to supply such quantities as may be directed by the Senior Commissariat Oflicer — without reference to any particular service, whether Military, Naval, or any other. The supplies required are as follows— Kiead at per lb. Fresh beef, or Mutton, at per lb. OK The ration of Bread and Meat, consisting of lib. of each, may be tendered at per Ration Rum, West India, 5 per cent under proof, (duty to be paid by the Contractor) al pur Imperial Gallon Fiiewood at per lOOlbs. Stiaw at per ton of 2240 lbs. Mould and Dip Candles at per lb. FOR HOSPITALS. Fresh Beef or Mutton Fine Bread Anow Root, Sago, Itice .each oC Tea, Sugar, Oatmeal f at Salt, Yellow Soap, Pearl Barley Mixed Vegetables, Potatoes Milk and Vinegar, at per Pint Eggs, at per dozen Porter, Port Wine, & Brandy, at per Botlle Fowls each The conditions under which the Supplies wilt be received, are the same as those laid down in the Commissariat Adveitisement inviting Tenders for the Auckland District, as it appears in this Newspaper, with the following addition :— The Fresh Meat to be issued Daily, in Fore and Hind Quarters alternately— when the quantity required admits of it.
