RENDERS will be leceived at this Odice, bj -*- the Undei singed, until noon of Wednesda), the /list day of Mai eh next, for furnishing the undei mentioned supplies, in surh quantities, and at such limes and places within the- limits of the town of Auckland, as may be dnected hy the Senior Commissariat Ollicer during the twelve calendar months, commencing Ist Apiil ncxl, under the conditions hereaitei specified, viz. :— JJread, at per lb. Flour, at per lb. Kikcuit, at per lb. Rum, West India, 5 per cent, under pi oof, (Duty to be paid by the Contiactor,) at per gallon Fnewood,at per 109 Us. Mould and Dip Candles, at per lb. t>li aw, at per ton of 2210 lbs. FOR HOSPITALS Fresh Beef or Mutton, Fine Bread n eacl) Flour, Arrow Root, Sago, Rice, lea I ' at Sugar, Oatmeal, Sail, Yellow Soap V Peail Baile), Mixed Vegetables i ' Jb Potatoes J Poiter, Poit Wine, and Brand), each, at per bottle Milk, Vinegar, each, at per pint liggs, at per dozen Fowls, each Tea, at per lb. l^oll Sugar, at pei lb. Co 3 J CONDITIONS, QUALITIES OF THE SUPPLIES — Ist. — AH the articles to be of ihe best quality of their several kinds. 2nd.— The Flour to be the produce of clean sound Colonial Wheat, from which 20 per Cent, in Bran has been extiacted. 3rd. — The Bread to be made fioin Flour of the tame quality as desciibed in the preceding paragiaph, and to be baked 21 hours before being issued, in loaves of 2 lbs. each. 4th — The mixed Vegetable to be supplied in reasonable propoitions of Greens, Onions, &c. sth. — The Firev^od to be Tea Tree or other Hard wood, split, and cut into 4 feet lengths. Parties tendeiing are requested to obseive that strict adherence to these conditions will be invariably enforced. MODE OF PL LIVERY, Gth. — The required supplies v\ ill not be taken into the charge of the Commissatinl, but must be delivered by the Contractor direct to the persons entitled thereto, on the order of Ihe Senior Commissaiiat Ofllcei, or of any person to be deputed by him for that purpose. GENERAL CONDITIONS. 7th.— Each Tender sent in, in conseq nonce of this Advertisement, must be accompanied by a statement signed by two competent Poison*, and expressing their readiness, in the event of such Tender being accepted, to become security for its due performance. The penally of the Bond to be given will be equal to the estimated amount of three months' supplies, And it it to be undei stood that the sureties will be held strictly responsible for the fulfilment of the Contractor's engagements, any failuie in which will be immediately followed by the enforcement of the penalty of Bond. Blh. — Ihe articles required for Hospitals must he comprised in one Tender, — and the same Regulation will apply to those required for Ships of War. The other ai tides ineiy be tendered together or separately. 9th. — Tne Contractor to prepare his own account according to the preset ibed form; and on the production thereof at tliis Oflice, with the requisite Vouchers in a coiii[l«t; state, shall leceive payment Monthly, by a Bill upon the Lords Commissioneis of Her Mrfjeslj's Treasury, at Par, when the amount is Filty Pounds or upwards: when under that Amount, Payment « ill be made in Cash. 10th.— In the event of any Ailicle offered being objected to as not agreeing with these Conditions, it will be submitted to a Board of Oflicers, to be appointed by the Officer Commanding the Tioops, and if rejected by Ihe Board, it will be replaced by the Commissariat Oflicer and charged against the Contractor, in the event of his neglecting to do %o w hen requited. lllh. — It shall be in the power of either party to limit the duration of the Contract b) giving it writing a notice of three Calendar Mouths to the opposite party, and to end the Contract an the expiration of that pei iod, it being understood that such notice can be given only from the first da) of a month, and within the pei iod foi which the Contiact is made or agreed to be made. 12ih —Each Tender to be in Duplicate, sealed, and endorsed "Tender for Biead," " Tender for Ruin," &c, as the case may be. 13th. — No Tender once sent in, is to be withdrawn or altered, and Notice of those accepted will be given viiihin three da)S of the time of opening. And on sullicienl evidence being afforded that the sureties are satisfactory, the Bond is to be completed w ithout delay. If any persons who have tendered, refuse to fulfil their oilers upon light or fiivolous excuses, they will be considered ineligible as Contractors on any future occasion.
