RULES.
No horse to be entered for any stake, except the Native Race, wbicb is not bona fide the property of a subscriber to the race fund of one guinea. Entrances to be made wilh the Clerk of the Course, at the Exchange Hotel, on or before Monday, the 24th instant. The Colors of the Riders to be declared at the time of Entrance, and not altered under a fine of 10s. 6d,,—to be added to the race fund. All stakes, subset iptiont, and fines to be made good before starting, or the horse whose owner or name shall make default, will not be entitled to win. All Matches to be declared to the Clerk of the Course on the Entrance Day, that they may be inserted in the Lists, unless made after that period, when they will come off on the last day. The owner of each horse entered for a match to pay 10s. 6d. to the Race Fund. All disputes to be refened to the Stewards j whose decisions will be final. Auckland, Ist Jan. 1848.
