MARRIAGE ORDINANCE.
(Concluded.) Marriages may lie solemnized at the ojjh.ee of Deputy Registrar. 23. Any person who shall object to marry under the provisions of this Ordinance, m the presence of any officiating minister, may, after due notice and certificate issued as aforesaid, contract and s Irmnize marriage at the office of or elsewhere, i>nd in the presence of°some Depuly Registrar, in the presence of twe witnesses, with open doors, and between the hours aforesaid, making the decl»ratiou and using the form of words hereinbefore provided. Fee in such case to Deputy Registrar. 21. The Deputy Rcgistiar shall be entitled, for every marriage which sha.l be solemnized under this Ordinance, in his presence, as aforesaid, to have from the paities mamed, the sum of 10s. After marriage no proof of consent, Sfc, necessary, 2j. After any marriage shall have been solemnized, it shall not be necessary, in support ot such marriage, to srive proof of the actual dnel'-ug of either of the parties, previous to the marriage, within the district •wherein such marriage was solemnixed, for the time required by this Ordinance, or of the consent of any person whose consent thereunto is required by law, nor shall any evidence be given to prov^ the contrary h any suit touching the validity of such marriage. Bui Officiat'ag Minister may enquire particulars, Sfc. 26. It sbail be lawful for the officiating clergyman, minister, or Deputy Registiar, before whom any marriage is solemnized, accordtng to the provisions of tin's ordinance, to ask of the parties to he married, the several particulars required to be registered, touching such marriages.
