ENGLISH NEWS T0 THE 24th AUGUST. (From the Port Philip Patriot, Nov. 26)

By the arrival of the Despatch from Batavia, English news to the 21th August has reached this colony. The only paper in the possession of the Captain was given to his agents, from whom we could not obtain it. The general news, however, 'is cheering. The harvest in Fnghind had been most abundant ; there was some difficulty in finding store room in London for the influx of grain. . The Emperor of Russsia has been seriously indisposed. Lieut. Munro has been tried and acquitted. Outrage is said to be rife throughout Portugal.
