The Resolution, London whaler, out 2 years, 110 barrels oil, was at the Bay refitting, and taking in supplies when the brig left. The Rosetta Joseph which arrived yesterday is & new barque, and the present is her maiden trip. She left on the 20th November, and experienced baffling vinds during the voyage. She reports the Alfred brig, having cleared out for this port via Newcastle to take in cattle and sheep, and the brig Governor* ■was also laid on for Auckland with cattle. H. M. S. Inflexible was not to sail for a few days ; and it is probable that the August post office packet, •which was daily expected, may arrive before her departure. The Rosetta Joseph, in addition to a large cargo of miscellaneous merchandise, has brought eight fine horses, in excellent condition. The brig Daniel Watson had not arrived. The cutter Swan was sold vt Sydney, to Mr. John Rusie i,for the sum of £275.
