TENDERS will be received at this Office, until noon of Moni>ay the 27th instant, for the supply of the following Articles for the service of the Royal Engineer Department, viz :—: — Kauri Timber Kauri Shingles, 18 inch long, 3 inch to 4 inch wide, 3-8-inch thick Puriri Timber 5 feet Split Pa'ing, 4 inch to 6 inch wide, half iuch thick Best Colonial Bricks (samples required to accompany tender) Oyster Shell Lime Pit Sand
At the same time, Tenders for the performance of the undermentioned work will be received, viz : — Painting in oil, 4 coats on wood work, Lead colour Do do do do do Stone colour or White Do do 8 coats light Sashes and Frames, white Do do 12 do do white Cartage of Scoria for the Barrack Wall , The Tenders must be sealed, and endorsed " Tender for Kauri 1 Timber," " Tender for Painting" &c, as the case may be, and none will be entertained which does not provide security for thedue fulfilment of the Contract, whiclj will be required to be entered into with this Department. Forms of Tender and any information required as to the probable quantity of the articles to be furnished or work to be performed, may be obtained on application at the office of the Commanding Royal Engineer.
