The inclemency of the weather has made the business of the week rather dull. Some small parcels of Flour have been sold at £19 10s., but one considerable holder, now asks £22. In sugars and teas, less than usual has been doing. Sales of spirits, particularly of gin, have been effected at quotations. Good tobacco has been sold, in bond, at 7d. per lb. A considerable quantity of sperm oil has changed hands at £44. There have been no sales of grain worth noticing. Notwithstanding the unfavourable state of the weather, Messrs. Connell and Ridings sale of Cattle, on Thursday, was very well attended. After a few head had been sold singly, averaging about £5 10s., the whole were bought by one party at that rate. The result of the sale is said to be satisfactory to the consignee.
