HTIHE UNDERSIGNED hereby give Notice, i. that on the 28th day of May last, they purchased all the right, title, and interest of Edward Knox, Esq. official assignee, of tha insolvent Estate of James Stuart, late of Sydney, in the colony of New South Wales, Grocer, in and to 1860 acres of land at Cape Bream, New Zealaud,— loo acres of land situated seven miles from the Bay of Islands, New Zealand, ■ and 10 acres of land in the township of Russell, New Zealand,— and all persons whomsoever, are accordingly hereby cautioned against interfering with, or trespassing on the said lands or any of them, Dated at Sydney aforesaid, this tenth day of June, a. i>. 1847. CAUTION, TJNDER this head an Advertisement npU peared in the Ntxv Zealundcr of the 3rd inst,, signed George Thorne, by his Attorney J. I. Montefiore, cautioning the Public against purchasing or trespassing upon three portions of Land in this Colony ; in order to place the matter right before tha Public, it is 'necessity to slate, the Lands referred to were purchased by me, in 1839, and sold by Auction, by my order, by Mr. Stubbs, in December, 1841, and conveyed toj. H, Potts of Sydney, who sold in June, 1843, to Mr, Abraham Elias, who sold on the 16th day of April, 1847, to Allan Williams, and Thomas Dun, Esq., as Trustees for my wife, who now holds the Legal ! and equitable Title to the Estates, and Possessions. Tliese Lands formed no part of my Assets, and I deny that the Official Assignee ever had either right, title, or Interest, in or to the eaid Lands, therefore he could not convey any such right, title, oi interest, to Mr. Thorne, or his Attorney. Any Person found cutting or removing Timber from the' said Lands, unless with the written authority of the undersigned, will be pro»t«ated according to Law. Jambs Stuart. Auckland, July 6, 1847.
