The schooner “ Triton” was put up to auction by Messrs. Connell & Ridings on Wednesday last, and purchased by Mr. W. S. Grahame for £9OO. The Charles, (formerly the Mary Catherine), is loading at Kaipara with spars for England. She has now better than one-third of her cargo on board, and is expected to arrive here about the cud of May. She will sail direct for London from this port. The Deborah sails this day for Sydney, with a full cargo of timber.
Notice to Mariners.—His Excellency the Governor has directed the re-publication, from the Fort St. George Gazette , of the following notice, having reference to the light of the Bombay Light Honse. —“ Superintendent’s Office, Bombay, 26th August, 1846. The present fixed light of the Bombay Light House is to be converted into a revolving light, and will be exhibited as such ou the Ist February, 1247 ( j no alteration will be made in the present floating lights. R. Oliver, Captain R. N., Superintendent of the I. N.”
