M. has had extensive practice, for upwards of twenty years, in this and the neighbouring colonies, as a Shingler j and as it is only through a general knowledge of the nature of roofs, and their various inclinations, the quality of the wood to be used, theGuage proportioned to the length of the shingle, and the pitch of the roof, together with a real knowledge of battening properly, and also the nailing of the shingle in their proper places, and a proper consideration a» to whether the shingle is green from the stump or sea* soned, that the roof can be warranted dry,?— E. M. will warrant any work he may be favoured with perfectly water proof. Houses stripped and re-shingled, houses double shingled, the sides of dormer windows made perfectly dry without lead or zinc, hips mitred, valleys neatly cut up,— Prices Moderate.
