The Mniihhi experienced very severe weather, with contiary winds, oil' f he North Cape, and was obliged to put into the Bay of Islands ibr shelter dm ing- the easterly gales. Capt. Cooney spoke on the !)th inst, near the Three Kings, the Sydney whaling barque JJndsai/s, 5 mouths out, with 550 barrels sperm, bound to Monganui. The Lindsays reported having spoken the Tigress, brig, at sea, with 750 barrels. The Kate, schooner, Capt. Salmon, arrived at Wellington fiom Sidney, on the 3rd March ; the ship Lady Jiowena, the brigantine Lowesfoft, and the brig Sir John Jtyng, had also ai rived. A new schooner, called the Governor Grey, has been built at Wangcimii, and is intended for coasting The American whale ship United Slates, of Nantucket, 322 tons, Capt. Worth, arrived in port on "Wednesday, from the South Seas. She has been out fifteen months; has captured 280 barrels black, and 120 barrels sperm oil. She spoke (lie ship Superior, Capt. Hart, from Port Nicholson, about a week back. About nine months since she put into the Bay of Islands, and has since been in to Akaroa. — Wellington Independent, March 3. The French corvette Le Ithin, Commander Berard, from New Zealand, arrived at Toulon on the 29th of August.
