objected to as not agreeing with these Conditions, it will be submitted to a Doaid of Oflicers, to be appointed by the Officer Commanding the Troops, and if rejected by the Hoard, it will be replaced by the Commissariat Oillcer and charged against the Contractor, in the event of his neglecting to do so when required. 12th.— It shall be in 'the power of either party to limit the duration of the Contract by giving in writing a notice of three Calendar Months to the opposite party, and to end the Contract at the expiration of that period, it being understood that such notice can be given only from the first day of a month, and within the peiiod for which "the Contract is made or agreed to be made. 13th. — Each Tender to be enclosed in a separate envelope, and Marked " Tender for Bread," " Tender for Meat," &c, as the case may be. 14th. — No Tender once sent in, is to be withdrawn or altered, and Notice of those accepted will be given within three days of the time of opening. And on suflicient evidence being afforded that the proposed sureties are sufficiently responsible, the Bond is to be completed without delay. In all cases where persons who have tendered refuse to fulfil their offers upon light or frivolous excuses, it will be competent for the undersigned to decline to receive Tenders from them at any future period. The Contractors for the different Articles will be required to supply such quantities as may be directed by the Commissariat Office in chargewithout reference to any particular service, whether Military, Naval, or any other. SPENDERS for furnishing supplies to the -1- Commissariat Department, at such place or places in the District of Russell as may be appointed, for the 12 Calendar months commencing Ist April next, will be received at this Office until noon of Monday the Ist day of March riext. The Supplies required are as follows — Bread at per lb. Fresh Beef, or Mutton at per lb. OR The Ration of Bread and Meat, consisting of 1 pound of each, may be tendered at per Ration Rum West India, 5 per cent under proof, (duty to be paid by the Conti actor) at per Imperial Gallon Firewood at per 100 lbs. Straw at per ton of 2,240 lbs. Mould and Dip Candles at per lb. FOR HOSPITALS. Fresh Beef or Mutton Arrow Root, Sago, Rice / at per Tea, Sugar, Oatmeal > Salt, Yellow Soap, Pearl Barley 1 Ibeach Mixed Vegetables, Potatoes * Milk and Vinegar, at per Pint Eggs, at per dozen Potter, Port Wine, & Brandy, at per doz.
