RESIDENT MAGISTRATE'S COURT.
Saturday, 13th Febmjahy, 1847. William Johnson, who stood remanded from the day before, charged with stealing a sum of money and several bills from Capt.ltcad,was again brought before the Court, and, after additional evidence being heard, ho was com mittcd to take his trial at the next sittingof the Supreme Court. [In our report of this case last week, the prisoner was said to be apprehended an the house of one Smith, which was inaccurate. Smith's house,' where the prisoner had been accustomed to frequent; was searched, upon a warrant issued by the Resident Magistrate ; but the prisoner was arrcbtcd elsewhere.] Kouru, the native who also stood remanded on the cjwgo ol Mr. Chisholm, Wijs found guilty of stealing a
