CRICKET.
The return match between H.M. Gsth Regiment, and the " Albion Club," came off on Wednesday last on the military parade ground, and drew forth a goodly assemblage of spectators, amongst whom we noticed an agreeable sprinkling of the f.iii sex. The first innings was so well contested, that it gave additional interest to the game, but Dame Fortune smiled as usual on our townsmen, as will be seen by the subjoined score. Mr. Hamley of the Ordinance, on the part of the military was chosen umpire, and Mr. Green of If.M.S. Castor, on that of the Club, and gave universal satisfaotion by the impartiality of their decisions :— H.M. 65th Regiment.
91 The " Albion Club" thus winning with seven wickets to go down. The day's amusement was concluded by a Ball at the Royal Hotel, where the dance was kept up with much spirit to the enlivening music of the band of If.M. 65th Regiment, which, by Lieut. Col. Gold's kind permission, was in attendance.
