Entrance, one Sovei eign. Second Horse to save his stakes. Four Horses to start, or no race. Native Stakes, Five Sovereigns j once round and a distance. Second Horse to receive two Sovereigns, and third Horse one Sovereign, for Horses honafulcthe property of, and ridden by, Aborigines* Catch weights. Four Horses to start, or no race. Hurdle Race, Ladies' Purse of Twenty-five Sovereigns j heats* half mile and a distance j three leaps, 3 ft, 6 in. each. Gentlemen riders: weight list. 7 lbs. Entrance, one Sovereign. Three Hones to start or no tace. Winners of the Metropolitan Slakesto carry 7 lbs. extra. Beaten Plate, Of Fifteen Sovereigns, for all Horses bealen during the Meeting, to be handicapped by the Stewards, or whom they may appoint, Entrance 10s. added. Entrances to be made with the Clerk of the 1 Course, on or before Tuesday, the 20 th inst., at noon. Colours of the riders to be declared at the time of entrance, and not altered. All disputes to be referred to the Stewards,, whose decision shall be final, Application for permission to erect Booths,. Stands, &c , must be made to the Sec retary on or before Saturday, the 23rd inst. AH dogs found on the Course will be destroyed. An Ordinary at Wood's Royal Hotel, on Thursday, the 2Sth, at half past six o'clock*. Tickets, including wines, 10s. 6d. Auckland, Jan. 15th, 1847.
EPSOM RACES. R. FORBES BEGS to announce to parties attending the Races, on Friday next, that he will have erected upon the Course A VERY COMMODIOUS BOOTH, suitable for the accommodation of both Ladiesand Gentlemen, who may favour him with a visit. His arrangements are such as will enable him to give every attention, to .the comfort of his friends. An excellent Luncheon will be prepared j.' and Wines of the first quality procured fotf the occasion*
