Notice to Correspondents.
We have received the letters of " Jubal Cain" and " a Working Carpenter." We do not consider the subject complained of by Jubal Cain to be exactly suited to the columns of a Public Journal. If tradesmen resort to practices so palpably injurious to their own interests, and become notorious for so doing, the public will be sure to punish them by deserting their stores. "A Working Carpenter's" communication is certainly important, as far as the evils of which it treats is concerned, but it is too prolix for insertion. If our friend can condense his letter, and confine his observations within narrower limits, we will endeavour to make room for him. We are obliged to postpone the insertion of the Rev. T. Buddies Letter until next week.
