Thomas, cutter, Sullivan, master, for Mahurangi, with sundries. The Maukin. — This brig left Sydney on the 7th inst, made the Three Kings in seven days— but owing to unfavourable light winds from the North Cape, she did not arrive till Friday evening, the 19th inst. We were not aware of her arrival when going to press, consequently she was not announced in our last. The "Terror" sailed for Kawau on Saturday last, and returned on Wednesday with 70 tons of copper ore, She is advertised to sail for Sydney on Tuesday morning. The " Aurora," schooner has been driven on shore at Haere Kino, near the wreck of the " Osprey," and was nigh totally wrecked. She was got off, but will have to nndergo thorough rqiair before she is fit for sea. The hull of the "Osprey" is now deeply buried in the sand. The natives who own that part of the beach on which she struck, have claimed her as their right, and demanded payment for her accordingly; but an influential chief has since taken charge of her for the purchaser, Mr. P. Monro. The "Providence" has brought part of the oil that was wrecked in the " Hannah." It was in possession of the natives, and had to be purchased from them at high price. The wreck of the "Mary Catherine," was sold last week, by Messrs. Brown and Campbell, for £320, to Mr. Davis.
