DIED,
This morning, at 3 o'clock, in Official Bay, John Fletcher, the infant son of the Rev. VV. Woon, Wesleyan Mission, aged 4 weeks and 6" days. " Not lost, — but gone before."
On Thursday last, at the Wesleyan Native Institution, Werita, or Wellington, of the Ngatiruamii tribe, belonging to Waimate, Taranaki, aged 26. This was a Native of great promise, and rose far above most of his countrymen, in general knowledge and civilization. [We understand that a pamphlet in the Maori language may be expected, giving an account of this most hopeful Maori, chiefly extracted from his own manuscripts.]
