i taxi-driver missing.
AUCKLAND, Last NigHt. ' A passenger who was on the Maunganui when that vessel sailed from Sydney"'for Auckland on 24th March could not be found on the following morning. It is surmised that he disappeared overhoard. The missing man is J. Redmayne, who booked his passage in the second I saloon. Very little is known ©? him, , except that, according to clearance i papers, he is a New Zealander and ; a taxi-dniver. I Redmayne, booked his seat in the'j | dining saloon on the • afternoon of^ - March 24th. The vessel sailed at1J j three o'clock" in the afternoon. Next morning it was found that Redmayne had not slept in his berth and a search failejd to discover him , on the vessel. ' A steward last saw Redmayne on', deek at 5.40 on the afternoon of li March 24th. He seemed quite well gi then. The missing man was 50 year^ ^ of age. r 4
