GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN OAMARU.
1 WARMLY GREETED BY CITIZENS CEREMONY IN THE GARDENS. After a strenuous tour of Cenfral Otago the Governor-General (Sir Chaxdes Fergusson) is at present paying his first official visit to Oamaru and yesterday afternoon was accorded an enthusiastic reception by the people of the town in the Gardens. His Excellency afterwards visited the Pub. lic Hospital, where he was the guest of the Waitaki Hospital Board at afternoon tea, and in the evening'he was entertained to dinner at the Queeii's Hptel by. the Borough Council.
