His intention was to draw a docket from the accumulated pile at some later date, and award the teaset to the holder of the lucky number, but the notice attracted the attention of Detective Sergeant Young, whereupon Stillwell told him frankly all about his scheme, saying he was unaware it was illegal In the Police Court Stillwell was charged with using his premises for Ja! scheme which involved the taking part in a game of chance.
