In the junior match Waitaki won • by nine wickets. Timaru in their first innings compiled 24. Neill took 5 wickets for six runs, and Hazlett four for 11. In their secqnd innings Timaru knocked up 69 (Vaughan 21, Thomas 10). Neill took five for 19, Taylor three for 16 and Hazlett two for six. Waitaki's first effort was produc- , V7e.?f 7° (Hamilton 36, McCallum j 11, Taylor 10). Marshall captured j nme wickets for 32 runs. In their second strike Waitaki compiled 25 j for the loss of one wicket, Hamilton (not out) 24. ;
