The match was commenced at the High School ground yesterday morning, the visitors winning the toss and sending the home side in to bat. Thanks to 105 not out by Carrington, North Otago vrere able to reach the respectable total o^ 217, but the visitors had little trouble in passing that score with the loss of only six wickets. Carrington obtained his first century of tlie season by spectacular batting. his tally including seven sixes and ten fours. Uttley, Catto and Henry were the only other batsmen to make anything like a stand against the bowling of Conradi, who, with the assistance of the wicket, bagged five of the wickets at a cost of 99 runs. G'av.anagh, with a well played 60, top scorer for Otago, Iveith obtainthe best bowling figures.,Scores:
