WAIAREKA SALE.
In the store sheep section, at the Waiareka sale this week there was an entry of from 8,000 to 9.000 head passings were frequent. The yardhig comprised store ewes chiefly, the market being back for good ewes. Fat Sheep. — A small yarding. Prime lambs made up to 26. others 23s to 25s. Prime wethers, of which : there were oniy a few pens, realis- - ed to 26s. others 23s to 24s 6d. I Store Sheep. — The market was i back for good ewes. No two-tooths | were entered. Failing-mouthed and : aged were on a par with recent | px-ices. Best four and six -toothed ; ewes made up to 30s. others to 27s I 9d. Best sound-mouthed realised I from 26s to 29s, full and failing[mouthed from 12s to 15s, aged and 1 inferior from 5s 6d to 8s 6d. Extra ! good Romney cross ewes hoggets ' realised 24s 6d, and others from 21s | to 22s 6d. Mixed-sex rape lambs sold } at 20s 9d. good wether lambs at 19s I Gd, small. do at 14s to 17s, and culls 1 from 9s to 12s, j Fat Cattle.— There was a small yarding, mostly of cows. Best cows brought from £4 10s to £6. others from £3 to £4. Heifers sold at £6 to £0 12s Gd. Store cattle. — An 18-months steer realised £4 2s 6d, two-year-old heifers £2, one store cow £3, a dairy cow in milk £4. one bull £3 17s 6d. Pigs. — Of a small yarding, best weaners sold at from 25s to 27s 6d, medium 21s to 23s 6d, small. 18s to 20s.
