MELBOURNE, Last Night. j Drastic electric restrictions to ' meet the strike conditions at tlie Yallourn works were enforced to- j day in plectric power industrial j concferns and for domestic purposes. J The light cut off a large section of | the city. The. trams so far have hot ; been afFected. Thousands of workerS in the city and suburbs have " heen rendered idle and these will J be increased' as other sections are robbed of power. • All attempts to reach a settlement have been futile. A mass meeting of men strongly declar«d against anv compromise. The police are guarding the Yallourn works.
