DUKE AT QUEENSTOWN. COLD WIND FROM BEN LOMOND

QUEENSTOWN, Last Night. The Duke arived here via Kawarau Gorge, the Crown Range route being difficult owing to a snowfall. Good time was made to Queenstown where the usual reception was held. A cold wind was bl owing from the snowclad flanks of Ben Lomond. This evening there will be a social gathex'ing of residents. To-xnorrow at eight the Duke proceeds by steamer to Kingston, whence he proceeds by train to the Bluff. There, after saying farewell to Mr Coates and Mrs Coates he boards the Dioxnede to proceed to the Renown off Stewart Island.
