. Received Sunday, 5.5 p.m. SHANGHAI, Last Night. The Shangtungites' defence of Sun Kiang front has crumpled. The Northe.rners are ret'reating upon Shanghai and the Southerners are only eighteen miles away. The collapse was caused by the Nationalists flanking movement, as a result of which the Sun-chuan-fang adherents holding Minhang further eastward found tHe position untenable and hastily retreated without the slightest attempt at resistance. Two . thousand have already arrived at Shanghai. Foreign military experts uoav consider that the Nationalists will be able to occupy Shanghai at leisure and may be expected he,re withi'n a couple of days. It is reported that tihe Nationalists have captured Changchow on the Shangliai-Nanking railw'ajy. The firing of guns at Sunkiang was heard in Shanghai last night.
