Saturday's issue of the New Zealand Gazette announces that Major M. K. M'Cullocli, of the Waitaki' Boys' Hiflh School. has been awarded the Colonial Auxiliary Forces oflicers' decoration. Advice has been received by the Town Clerk that his Excellency the Governor-General (Sir Charles Fergusson) will arrive in Oamaru by car from Gentral Otago at noon on Monday next and leave by the second express for- the north the following day, His Excellency has expressed a desire to sec the primary schools, the public hospital and Victoria Home, and a certain rearrangement of the programme suggested by the Borougli Council at its last meeting will thus be necessary.
