FALL FROM TREE.
* YOUNG MAN SUCCUMBS The death, following a fall froni a tree, of Arthur John Henry, aged 28, a Glenavy farmer, occurred.in a private hospital in Oamaru yesterday morning. Deceased, who was a married man with one child, had climbed a tree near the gate of his farm with the intention of cutting away some branches so that a threshing . plant could get through unobstructed. He was about 15 feet from the ground when a hranch, partly sawn through. snapped beneath dqceased's weight and he" fell hejidlong to iheg round. ; It was at once seen that he was i badly injured and unsujccessful ef- | forts were made to get a medical ; man from Waimate. Dr Smith-Mor- : ton v^as then smnmoned and orderi ed the injured man's removal to a ; private hospital in Oamaru where ! he was found to be suffering from | head injuries and concussion.
