Captain R. Ringdall, master of the American freighter, West Henshaw, was yesterday convicted and ordered to pay costs of discharging oil in Auckland harbour. It was intimated that heavy penalties would be asked for in future. The Blacks Gold Mining Company Ltd. has received the following report from the mine manager: "Number nine bore completed, depth 140 feet in bedrock."
