DUNEDIN, Last Night. v it is authoritatively stated that an option over the Kaitangata mines, railway line, freehold and leases of the plant and machineryi has been secured from the EnglisK ocmpany by Mr John G. Neil, of Dunedin. The Orepuki shale works are not included in the option. It is! intended to at once float a stronglycapitalised company to acquire this option and to re-open the mines almost- immediately. Arrangements have been made whereby the money for the miners baick wages "will be available as soon as the proposed company goes to allotment. j
