Received Wednesday, 7.5 p.m. LONDON, March 15. The announcement is made of the formatioxi of an Empire-wide, all British film ox-ganisation involving one million sterling by employ ing the foremost Bx-itish authors, px*oducers and aCtoi's. This foreshadows the sprxnging up of a British Hollywood in the vicinity of Lon- | don in which the first studios will j be available at the end of 1927. Af- | filiated companies are being forrned in Australia, Sout'h Africa, Canada and India. The parent organisation will be British Incorporateci Pictures Limited. The initial capital will be balf a million sterling. The organisation will produce and distribute high grade fxlms, the afFxliated companies undertaking distribution in the Dominions; also producing individualbr. Half the capital of the British Company is alx*eady assured, the remainder will not be offered for subscription before the production of the first film, when British exhbitors will be afforded opportunity to participate.
